Darjeeling Trip Budget: Plan, Track & Spend Wisely with Settleo
Five friends. One Darjeeling trip. Zero “Ei, tor kache koto pabo?” 😄
Five friends — Arjun, Sneha, Rahul, Ananya and Debjit — decided to escape Kolkata for a Pujo trip to Darjeeling. The plan was simple: mountains, good food, plenty of photos and absolutely no headache over money.
They used Settleo to plan and manage their trip from start to finish.
🗓️ Planned It Together
From catching the Darjeeling Mail from Sealdah to watching the sunrise at Tiger Hill, enjoying a Toy Train ride and exploring Happy Valley Tea Estate, everyone could see the same trip plan.
No more searching through different WhatsApp messages to figure out what the group had planned next. Everyone stayed on the same page.
💸 Tracked Every Rupee
Homestay, the shared Innova from NJP, momos, Keventer's, Glenary's — every expense went into Settleo.
The group had a ₹60,000 budget and tracked ₹40,000 of expenses during the trip, giving everyone a clear view of how much they had spent and how much was still available.
➗ Split Every Bill in Seconds
₹1,250 for momos?
No calculator. No mental maths. No WhatsApp spreadsheet.
Settleo split the bill five ways — ₹250 each.
Whether it was dinner, transport, snacks or sightseeing, shared expenses could be divided without the usual group-trip confusion.
🤝 Settled Up on the Way Home
As the trip came to an end, Settleo showed exactly who owed whom.
The friends paid each other through UPI, recorded the settlements in the app, and by the time the train reached Sealdah, the trip was completely squared off.
No pending calculations. No forgotten expenses. No awkward, “Pore dicchi, bhai.” 😄
⛰️ Less Money Worry, More Darjeeling
A group trip should be about enjoying the journey — not spending half the trip figuring out who paid for what.
With Settleo, Arjun, Sneha, Rahul, Ananya and Debjit could focus on what really mattered: the mountains, the food, the laughter and the memories.
No spreadsheets. No awkward maths. Just the hills. ⛰️
